THE SIGN OF THE CROSS

In the name of the + Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen

GLORY BE

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

[A note about the translation on this. The last sentence of the Latin version does not translate into English very well. "et in sæcula sæculorum" technically means something like "age upon ages", or something like that. It's often translated as "world without end," but that really doesn't convey the idea correctly (and I'm fairly certain the theology is a bit off as well). "And ever shall be" sums it up rather nicely and without the repetition found in the Latin.]

Act of Contrition - Common

O my God! I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell; but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
