New E-Mail

| | Comments (0)

As I approach the relaunch of yon blog, I feel a strong need to change my e-mail address. Verizon just doesn't offer a strong enough spam blocker. I put it on the right sidebar as well.

You know what to do with the "at" thing.

John Martignoni Is Coming!

| | Comments (0)

John Martignoni will be speaking at my parish on November 3rd. The schedule is from 10:00 till 12:30.

It's FREE – FREE – FREE!

Bring your friends and family. I'll have more details on how to get there in a day or two...including a map for those that can't find Wylie without one.

Here are the details

I've added a linking graphic on the sidebar for GoodCatholicBooks.com. I didn't realize it until today, but this is actually run by the speakers guild at my parish. Any purchases from this site helps bring top notch Catholic speakers to the Dallas suburbs – someplace that desperately needs them.

Any support would be greatly appreciated!

What Happened...

Unfortunately, I have very little time in general. I wish it were otherwise, but right now it's really hard to be there for my kids at times.

I took to writing posts during my lunch hour at work. Late in the spring, my counterpart in Houston left the company. All of a sudden my lunch hours became more like “lunch minutes”. There was also a great deal more travel this summer than I'm used to.

The bottom line is – blogging had to give.

We're now coming out of our busiest time of the year at work, and I'm actually able to get to a few projects again. The last big meeting of the year (as scheduled, at least) is next week. I'll be in LA for a few days. Once I get back I hope to be in a position to write a decent post once in a while.

Is anyone still out there?

Well, first off, you drop from a Technorati rating of just under 100,000 to something in the 1.4 million range.

Second, you devolve a thousand places in the eco-system. I'm still a crawly amphibian, but just barely.

Also, you end up with 161+ days since your last Technorati link.

So it goes, I guess.

I'm still working to reconstruct the blogroll and the links on the side bar. Once I have that done I'll restart the blog for real. Be patient a few more days. Hopefully, by next week things will be back up and running again.

Still trying to fix things...

Ok, so I broke my blog the other day. RC got it back up and running. Now I have to rework some of the formatting. That will take a little time as I am not very clever with these things. (If I were that clever, I wouldn't have broken it in the first place.)

NOW...BACK TO BUSINESS...

They're already calling him a "Folk Hero". Here's a link.

The city of Dallas and its suburbs will be closed next Sunday from about 3:00 till around 7:30 or so. Don't bother calling. We'll be busy.

Thanks, RC!

RC from Catholic Light is does the admin duties for the stblogs.org domain. Without him, we'd all be...well...blogless.

Yesterday, I tried to change my template a bit. I have a little hope of restarting yon blog, and I thought I'd change the look a bit for the restart. Unfortunately, I blew it up instead.

In life, we tend not to thank those that keep things running. Same at stblogs.org. To make amends:

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK, RC! AND THANKS FOR PULLING MY BLOG OUT OF THE FIRE!
