I'm going to enable the comments authentication thingy for the rest of this week. I'm not going to be able to police the comments for a few days due to lots of things at home and work going on. At home, there are lots of extra-curricular activities coming up - band concerts, and the like. The projects at work are going well, but I have several elements coming together at once and keeping track of things here is going to be difficult.

On the good news side - I got the rough drafts for the papacy posts done over the long weekend. That means things are on track for the mid-December launch.

I think I'll be able to finish the rough drafts of the papacy posts over the long weekend. That puts us on track for for a mid-December release.

Pope Recruits Anglicans?

I'm always a bit reluctant to accept the mainstream media at face value. The idea of "recruiting" seems a little odd when attached to Benedict XVI. But I wonder if there's any truth to this story.

Oh, to have been a fly on that wall!

How could the process be made easier, I wonder?

So I made a mistake…

…and started in on the papacy outlines before I started working on the sacrament posts. As a result, I am now motivated to work in that direction, and postpone the sacraments till a bit later. I’ve also gotten some indication that the papacy posts will be of interest to more people than the sacraments posts would be (a couple of comments, a couple of e-mails – they add up). So, I’m going to reschedule the rescheduled schedule that I scheduled a couple of weeks ago.

I’m trying to take a comprehensive look at the papacy, and that’s turned out to be a good bit bigger than I’d expected. The outline for the scriptural post is four pages long, linguistics is two, and the historical post is already 2+ pages and growing. I haven’t started on the archeological outline yet. It’s amazing stuff, and I’ve gained a great deal of respect and admiration for St. Peter based on what I’ve already come across.

I’m therefore going to beg a bit more patience. The introduction is already written, and the outlines are falling into place nicely. I’m still going to hit the skids in a few days due to work, but I’m optimistic about the eventual outcome.

Can everyone read this…er…at least see it?

ΧΗΦΑΣ

Χηφάς

Steven Riddle had some Greek characters on his blog last week. All I could see of some were little squares. I just want to see if anyone can see these, or if I have to find another way to represent them. For the record, it should appear as Chi, Eta, Phi, Alpha, Sigma; one capitol, one lower case.

If at least one person on IE, Mozilla, etc. could check-in and let me know what it looks like, I’d appreciate it. I can handle the Safari browser. Thanks much!
